Tenets of the WiMAC- Guyana Chapter
Training:
Understanding the importance of educating children about the maritime sector, WiMAC Guyana carefully crafted the Summer Nautical Camp. This program aims to foster maritime awareness, build foundational nautical skills, promote ocean literacy and instill a culture of safety.
Visibility:
WiMAC Guyana remains actively involved in the maritime sector through participation in local and regional programs. These engagements help strengthen our presence and highlight the role of women in the sector.
Recognition:
A core part of WiMAC Guyana’s mission is recognizing women who demonstrate excellence. For this reason, WiMAC Guyana created the Gala and Awards Ceremony to honour the outstanding contributions by the sector’s women. Through this platform, we uplift those making a meaningful impact from ship to shore.
Charity:
Rooted in service to others, WiMAC Guyana’s annual Christmas Cheer Program brings warmth and comfort to senior citizens during the holiday season. Our members visit senior citizen homes to deliver hampers and warm meals. This initiative reflects our dedication to kindness and community.
